At The Cradle Stories, we believe photography is more than capturing images; it’s about preserving chapters of a child’s story, and Naomi’s session felt like stepping straight into the pages of Sleeping Beauty.
Inspired by Princess Aurora, Naomi fully embraced her character with grace and sweetness. She wasn’t just dressed as Aurora—she was Aurora. From her gentle expressions to her natural elegance, Naomi embodied the essence of the beloved princess who blooms quietly, surrounded by wonder, kindness, and destiny. Just like Aurora in her forest kingdom near the castle walls, Naomi radiated innocence, charm, and a soft strength that comes with growing up.
Adding a unique and creative twist to the story, Maleficent was reimagined as her mother, giving depth and contrast to the narrative, while her father joined the session as a noble prince. This re-envisioned family dynamic made the story richer and more meaningful, reminding us that fairytales evolve—just like families do. The presence of a castle-inspired setup tied everything together, symbolizing protection, legacy, and the magical place where childhood dreams live.
A special highlight of the session was the beautifully crafted, makeshift spindle created by Ms. Vna Routel, which perfectly materialized the Sleeping Beauty theme. This thoughtful detail elevated the set and transformed the space into a cinematic fairytale scene, making every frame feel intentional and story-driven.
What made this session even more emotional for me as a photographer is history. Naomi is not new to my lens. I first photographed her four years ago, and witnessing her growth—from a tiny, curious little girl into a charming, confident almost-six-year-old—was incredibly moving. Like Princess Aurora awakening into her true self, Naomi has blossomed beautifully over the years.
As a photographer at The Cradle Stories, moments like this are why I do what I do. I am deeply happy and grateful to have witnessed Naomi’s journey, to be trusted by her family, and to capture her as she continues to bloom into a wonderful young girl. These sessions are reminders that time moves quickly, but photographs allow us to pause, remember, and cherish.
