What does coming home really mean?
It’s the joy of family. It’s your people—the ones you choose to spend time with, laugh with, and create memories with. For the Pelayo and Dela Rosa families, coming home simply means love.
When Kristine—my former elementary classmate from Dadiang West Central Elementary School—booked a family session in the last quarter of 2025, I was genuinely excited. It wasn’t just another shoot; it felt like a reunion. Seeing her again, this time with her own beautiful family, and welcoming them to La Loba Studios made the experience even more special.
We started the session in the morning, with Kristine and her husband Chino wearing Barong and Filipiniana. They were absolute naturals. They didn’t ask for anything extravagant—just a simple, Pinoy-themed couple portrait—and it came together effortlessly. Their connection was easy, calm, and full of quiet love.
While they stepped aside for an outfit change, I spent time photographing the kids with their grandparents. Those moments were heartfelt and genuine. Yvanna and Enzo were warm, cheerful, and so cooperative, posing happily as if little treats were waiting for them after every shot. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love family photography.
Throughout the session, I saw a family deeply grounded in faith and love. Though raised in General Santos City and now living in Australia, the Dela Rosas know how meaningful it is to come home and spend time with the people who matter most. Being back in GenSan wasn’t just a visit—it was a return to their roots.
Photographing their family was such a breeze. Just like many families I’ve had the privilege to capture, it was the love, warmth, and grace of God that made every moment feel natural and joyful. These are the stories I aim to preserve—real families, real connections, and the beauty of simply being together.
